It is celebrated to increase understanding & awareness of biological issues.
As we all know the Covid-19 pandemic is impacting all parts of human society.
Zoonoses with a wildlife reservoir represents a large spectrum of transmission modes.
Urbanization plays a role in emergence of zoonoses.
Urbanization results in significant changes to the wildlife communities characterized by low biodiversity.
The spread of this zoonotic disease is a result of wildlife trafficking, habitat destruction & climatic changes done by human beings.
However with decrease in fossil fuel burning, air quality in cities improve. The spread of virus is, therefore, helping in capping global rise in temperature in this way.
Ban live animal markets that trade in wildlife.
Stop illegal trafficking &  poaching of wild animals.
"Don't Let Species Go Extinct,
In This World We All Are Linked."
